Aylwin Veterans Association

Keeping shipmates connected long after the last deployment.

Reunion planning is underway

We missed this year. We won’t miss the next one.

Shipmates, it’s Glenn Hunsberger checking back in. After a year without a reunion, we’re getting the band back together for an October reunion in Virginia Beach. Exact dates will be confirmed soon, but planning has begun.

If we have strong interest, we’ll move to the larger hospitality room. If not, we’ll keep it cozy downstairs and avoid sticking the crew with unused room fees.

Welcome aboard, shipmates

The USS Aylwin Veterans Association exists to keep alive the friendships, sea stories, and shared history of everyone who served aboard USS Aylwin DE/FF-1081. From the early DE days through final deployments – and now her continued service with the ROC Navy – our goal is simple: keep the crew connected.

Shipmate spotlight

Rotating feature • suggest someone at reunion@ussaylwin.com

Each quarter we’ll feature one shipmate – where they served on Aylwin, a favorite sea story, and what they’re up to now. It’s a simple way to keep names and faces fresh between reunions.

Want to nominate someone (or yourself)? Send a short write-up and a photo and we’ll add them to the queue.
